Purpose
Every time you turn the key in your vehicle, the engine is revved up with help from the battery under the hood. This power supply is responsible for sending electricity to the starter motor and alternator. In return, the alternator recharges the battery using excess energy from the engine, meaning you won’t run low on power after only a few drives around Boardman. That being said, the battery will still become drained over time, as it will eventually be unable to retain electricity. This usually happens after three to five years, but this can vary based on your vehicle usage. Check your Owner’s Manual for model-specific information. You can check the terminals of the battery for rust and corrosion to see if it shows signs of aging.
Replacement Process

If we determine that the battery has reached the end of its lifespan, we will secure a replacement part. The items we use are genuine OEM components, so you can rely on them for many more trips to Lanterman's Mill. It will not take long to make the swap, so feel free to wait in our lounge while our team members work. We’ll also properly dispose of the old battery, since it can’t be simply thrown in the trash for environmental reasons.
